Listen to Your Consumers Before Creating Content

Create the Right Content for Your Consumers by Listening to Your Consumers

We are in a time where the consumer can talk back to us. The consumer can provide us feedback about their experience, and about our products. Listening to your consumer’s feedback will help you create the right content they will engage with.

How to Listen to Your Consumers

You already have all the tools necessary to listen to your consumer. Social media likes, shares, comments, DM’s, and email surveys/questionnaires are your listening tools. These are ways your consumer can tell you “I like this product”, “This product is trash”, and “If only it had ____”. If you listen carefully, you can take your consumer’s feedback and apply them to your business/products.

What Makes Good Content for Your Consumers

After you take your consumer’s feedback, you can start making the right content for them. This should be easy if you actually listened to your consumer because they will tell you exactly what they want. Once you post something they like, you’ll see engagement skyrocket.

To ensure that your engagement and conversions skyrocket, you have to make sure your content is valuable to your consumer. Having valuable content means your consumer is getting something in return. This takeaway could be anything from, product knowledge (benefits, prices, how to use it, or what it is). The takeaway can also be something about the brands: upcoming, perspectives, values, etc.

What to Give Your Consumers

Give your consumer respect. Respect their voice by listening to them and respect their time by providing them valuable content. If you do this,  your conversions and engagement will skyrocket.
