Checking Your Brand’s Awareness with a Quick 6 Question Survey
It doesn’t take much to check your brand’s awareness. I say you only need 6 easy questions to determine if your brand is making enough noise in the market. These 6 survey questions would be given to either a new/recently joined consumer or a consumer who’s in the market for what you offer.
6 Questions to Checked Your Brand’s Awareness
Question 1: When you think of this product/service, what brand(s) comes to your mind?
This question allows you to see which brands are your immediate threats and if your brand is one of the top few brands that come to mind when they think of that product/service.
Question 2: In the last 3 months, where have you heard/seen our brand and or products/services? (Select all that apply)
From this response, you can get a feel of what channels are targeting this consumer and see if your ad spend is being put to good use.
Question 3: How familiar are you with our brand?
What good is it to have heard of a brand and not know what that brand is or what they provide? If your consumers don’t know what you provide, I guarantee you they will not be making any purchases anytime soon.
Question 4: Have you ever purchased or used our products/services?
This one’s a no-brainer, but if a consumer purchased your product/service in the past, they are 25-30% more likely to become repeat customers.
“If you can get 20-30% of customers coming back every month and making a purchase from your store, you should do pretty well” – Alex Schultz, VP of Growth at Facebook.
Question 5: On a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is very unlikely, and 5 is very likely. How likely is that you would recommend our brand?
It’s always good to get consumer feedback. If they aren’t very like to recommend your product/service, something is wrong, and you need to do look into why.
Question 6: What’s one word that comes to mind when you think of our brand?
This question is great because it gives you an opportunity to see if your products/services are expressing the right brand attributes.
The Importance of Checking Your Brand’s Awareness
Checking in on your brand’s awareness every 3-6 months is important to having a successful business. Setting up an automated survey is fast and easy. A great time to send a survey is after a consumer purchases something. This is when the consumer is more likely to fill one out and give you their honest opinion about the product. The great thing about knowing if you have a strong brand awareness is that if it’s strong, you start expanding your audience, traffic, leads, and money! I dont know about you, but I love making more money!
